The visual identity for the five poster series for the programme Terra na Orelha do Mar (Land in Sea’s Ear) began in the Castro Marim marshland. Textures, colours, and forms were sourced directly from the territory the project speaks about.

Terra na Orelha do Mar

Terra na Orelha do Mar (Land in Sea’s Ear) is a cultural programme by The Beekeepers rooted in the Castro Marim marshland and Guadiana Bay – Portugal’s southern periphery – bringing together artists, ecologists, and local communities to address biodiversity, traditional knowledge, and the exhaustion of territory through tourism, through artistic residencies, workshops, and roundtable discussions.

The visual identity for the series of five posters sources everything directly from the territory: textures drawn from its natural and human-made elements, a colour palette developed through on-site research, typography that moves around them. The project title, inspired by the land’s own configuration, captures what the work is about: the resonance between people, nature, and sound.
